A lot of boat owners hit a wall when they want to step up to a larger motor. The existing transom just wasn't built for it. That's exactly the situation we had here - this Rivercraft aluminum jon boat needed a custom transom riser so it could handle more power than the original setup was designed for.
Building a transom riser isn't just cutting and welding a piece of aluminum onto the back of a boat. The riser has to be structurally solid, properly tied into the existing transom, and built to hold up under real load and stress on the water. Get it wrong and you're dealing with flex, fatigue cracks, or worse. We take that seriously on every build.
What we ended up with is a clean, purpose-built riser that fits this hull like it was always part of it. The fabrication integrates seamlessly with the existing transom structure - no sloppy welds, no patchwork feel. This boat is now ready to run the motor it was always meant to have.
This is the kind of work we do regularly at ArcStrike Industries. Aluminum boat repairs, custom modifications, structural fab - if your boat needs something beyond a basic fix, we've got the skills and equipment to make it happen right.
